• The Floating Support service is similar to the Outreach Service but offers long-term support
  
  
• The service is available to any woman who has her own home in Newcastle whether it be tenancy or owner-occupied
  
  
• Women may be on benefits or working
  
  
• The support is tailored to each individual woman's needs and may include practical support, e.g. tenancy support, accessing services (including services for children who have witnessed abuse), legal issues and welfare rights
  
  
• There is also provision for emotional support and referral to specialist agencies if needed
  
  
• The Floating Support worker will always try to accompany clients to appointments with other agencies when required to do so, for example attending Solicitors, Court, Case Conferences, Housing appointments etc
