outreach service

Our Outreach service operates in the Newcastle area and we provide emotional support, practical help, and advice to women in the community who are experiencing, or have experienced domestic abuse.

We provide:

  • One-to-one work with women who are in a crisis situation, or longer-term support to women who are in an on-going violent or abusive relationship. We will meet with you in a safe, neutral place

  • The opportunity for group work, for example the Freedom Programme, where you can meet women in a similar situation

We offer:

  • Practical support which can include advice about benefits, re-housing, emergency accommodation and legal issues. We are able to go with you to any appointment concerning any of these issues

  • Help to provide additional security if you are in your own home

  • On-going resettlement support when you leave the refuge
