Newcastle Women’s Aid exists for the benefit of all women and their children who have been affected by domestic abuse, through the provision of information, advice and specialist support
We recognise that violence against women results from the unequal position of women in society. Our services are run by women for women. No men are involved in the decision making process of Newcastle Women’s Aid.
We aim to reduce the incidents of domestic abuse and to empower women and children to live free from fear.
Newcastle Women’s Aid is committed to equality and diversity and aims to provide an inclusive service for all regardless of ethnicity, sexuality, disability, religion or class.
We are committed to the highest standards of confidentiality and safeguarding the rights of service users and staff.
Our values are at the core of Newcastle Women’s Aid.
Equality, diversity, inclusiveness, empowerment and transformation are embedded in our service delivery, they naturally guide and inform our practices, attitudes and success.
