Newcastle Women's Aid has provided a range of specialist domestic violence and abuse support services in Newcastle for over 43 years. We are delighted to be awarded £109,000 funding from The National Lottery Community Fund. This funding will be used to maintain and secure vital specialist domestic abuse support services for the next 2 years.

International Women's Day is on March 8th every year and is a worldwide event day to honour and celebrate the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. It's easy to think International Women's Day is solely about celebrating the women with recognisable names and achievements. That's not true. It's about celebrating the strong women around you.

Did you know that Newcastle Women’s Aid staff are now trained facilitators of the new Freedom Forever programme? As a specialist domestic abuse support service, we are really excited and proud to be the first and only organisation to deliver this new programme within the city.
